Ingredients
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup all-purpose flour plus additional for dusting
1 envelope (1/4 ounce) rapid rise yeast
1/4 cup honey
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Directions

1. Spray 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray. In medium bowl, whisk flours. In large zip-top plastic bag, add yeast, honey and 1 cup warm water (no more than 120°); seal bag, pressing out excess air, and massage to combine. Add 1 cup flour mixture; seal bag, pressing out excess air, and massage bag to combine; let stand 15 minutes

 

2. Add oil, ¾ teaspoon salt and 1 cup flour mixture to bag; seal bag, pressing out excess air, and massage to combine. Add remaining 1 cup flour mixture to bag; seal bag, pressing out excess air, and massage to combine

 

3. Transfer dough to lightly floured work surface; knead 2 minutes or until smooth and elastic. Transfer dough to prepared pan; cover and let stand 30 minutes

 

4. Preheat oven to 375°. Bake bread 30 minutes or until golden brown; cool completely in pan on wire rack.

 

5. Cut bread into 12 (¾-inch-thick) slices.
